Independent Editorial Coverage
Independent coverage is selected according to Shake Nutrition's editorial priorities rather than because a company paid for publication. A commercial party cannot purchase a positive independent review, predetermined recommendation, specific editorial score, “Best” designation, higher ranking position, removal of legitimate criticism, or control over unrelated editorial coverage.
Paid visibility does not determine editorial ranking position.
Sponsored Content, Advertising, and Affiliate Links
- Sponsored content
- Content funded, commissioned, or materially influenced through a commercial relationship. This format is not currently offered.
- Advertising
- A separate paid placement. Direct and programmatic advertising are not active; Google AdSense may be introduced in the future.
- Affiliate links
- Commerce links that may generate compensation. They may be used in independent content and do not determine editorial conclusions.
Product Samples and Company Information
A complimentary sample is not automatically sponsored content. Receiving a product does not guarantee coverage, a positive assessment, a recommendation, or a ranking position. Companies may also provide labels, technical documents, testing information, research references, or factual corrections without converting independent coverage into sponsored content.
If Sponsored Content Is Introduced Later
Clear labeling
Paid material should be identified so readers can distinguish it from independent editorial content.
Sponsor identification
The company or organization behind the commercial relationship should be identified where relevant.
No disguised advertising
Paid material should not conceal its commercial nature by imitating independent reporting.
Editorial separation
A sponsor should not receive authority over unrelated independent editorial coverage.
No purchased rankings
Paid placement should never be presented as an independent ranking position.
Health and safety standards still apply
Commercial payment should not provide a route around standards for nutrition, supplements, food safety, or other consequential claims.
Claims That Would Not Be Acceptable
- unsupported disease-treatment or disease-prevention claims;
- guaranteed health outcomes;
- supplement effectiveness claims without adequate support;
- food-safety claims without evidence;
- personal diagnosis or individualized treatment instructions;
- fabricated reviews or testimonials;
- fake rankings;
- paid conclusions presented as independent editorial judgment.
Future Editorial Review and Corrections
If paid content is ever introduced, payment should not remove basic review for accuracy, clear labeling, misleading health claims, safety, or reader confusion. Material factual errors should remain eligible for correction.
