How to Report an Error
Please include the article URL, the specific sentence, table, number, image, or claim in question, a concise explanation of the problem, and reliable supporting evidence where available.
Specific evidence-based requests are easier to evaluate than a general statement that an article is wrong or unfair.
Review Process
Identify the issue
Determine whether the concern is a factual error, missing context, outdated information, methodological disagreement, or another editorial issue.
Recheck the evidence
Review the source originally used and any new reliable documentation supplied with the request.
Seek additional support where needed
The team may consult a current product label, research paper, government or regulatory source, manufacturer documentation, additional independent evidence, or the original source.
Choose the appropriate action
The result may be a correction, clarification, update, broader revision, or no change when the evidence does not establish a problem.
Possible Outcomes

Correction vs. Editorial Disagreement
A disagreement with an editorial conclusion does not automatically establish a factual error. A manufacturer may disagree with how ingredients, formulation, evidence, price, or alternatives are weighed, and a reader may prefer a different interpretation of research. Those views may be considered without requiring a correction when the underlying facts are accurate and the stated methodology has been applied appropriately.
Product and Ranking Updates
A product may change after publication. Confirmed changes to ingredients, serving size, nutrition values, certification, testing information, availability, or safety status may justify an update.
Rankings may also be reviewed when underlying product data was wrong, a product materially changes, a safety issue arises, availability changes, new evidence becomes relevant, or a methodology error is identified.
Research, Quotes, and Sensitive Claims
Scientific papers can be corrected, retracted, superseded, or placed in a different context by later evidence. Quotations may be rechecked against recordings, notes, correspondence, or transcripts where available. Health, allergen, food-safety, supplement, contamination, and recall errors may receive additional priority because they can affect reader decisions.
Company and Brand Requests
Companies and brands may submit current labels, ingredient lists, reformulation documents, certification records, testing documents, regulatory records, or official statements. Providing documentation does not guarantee an editorial change, and accurate criticism is not removed solely because it is commercially unfavorable.
Removal Requests
Shake Nutrition generally prefers correction or updating when a page can be responsibly repaired. Removal may be considered in exceptional circumstances such as serious factual unreliability that cannot reasonably be fixed, duplicate publication, significant privacy or safety concerns, a legitimate legal requirement, or another substantial editorial reason.
Minor Edits and Correction Notes
Spelling, grammar, punctuation, typography, formatting, broken-link replacement, and readability changes may be made without a separate correction note when they do not materially alter meaning. A material correction may receive an explanatory note so the published record remains clear.
